Ms. Ingrid Larson, Director of the Fulbright Office of the U.S. Embassy in China Visited SWUFE

On April 21, 2010, the group led by Ms. Ingrid Larson, director of the Fulbright Office of the U.S. Embassy in China paid an exchange & investigation visit to SWUFE for the Fulbright Program. At 10: 30 am, the symposium with Fulbright office officials was conducted in the 510 meeting room of Tengxiang Building. Relevant superintendents, staff members and student representatives from the Foreign Affairs Office, the School of Finance, the School of Law and the School of International Business attended the meeting.
As part of Fulbright Program, the largest and the most prestigious international exchange program, the China-US Fulbright Program is jointly financed and administered by the Department of Education and the U.S. State Council. It is co-executed by the Secretariat of China Scholarship Council and the U.S. Embassy in China. Under the support of this program, educators, researchers, professionals and students from China and the U.S. are exchanged for study, research and teaching. 
Prof. Zhang Zhongqiang, director of the Foreign Affairs Office first gave a warm welcome to the arrival of director Ingrid Larson et al.. He proceeded to introduce to the U.S. representatives the teaching and living condition of the Fulbright scholar, Adam Chodorow, who came to teach in SWUFE on September, 2009. After that, he deliberated on matters of the combination of the Schools superior and mainstream subjects, Fulbright Program and the Schools running characteristics. The U.S. staff members briefed on the specifics and progress of China-US Fulbright Program and expressed their sincere hope for the participation of more SWUFE teachers and students in the Fulbright subprograms such as Visiting Research Scholar, PhD Dissertation Research Program and Foreign Language Teaching Assistant, etc. (the Foreign Affairs Office)
